This oil on canvas by George Hamilton Barrable, titled Melody, depicts a young lady and was exhibited at the Royal Academy in 1884 (no. 655). The painting is signed by the artist and was also included in The Exhibition of the Royal Academy, 1884: The 116th.

Barrable was active in the late 19th century, and this work is an excellent example of his craftsmanship.
