Description

A George III Scottish Mahogany Longcase Clock by Peter Wood of Broughty Ferry, with broken swan neck pediment and turned brass finials above the painted dial decorated with figures representing the home nations and continents, set with Roman numerals, cast and pierced brass hands and hand-signed, the eight day movement striking on a bell, the trunk with fielded door flanked by four quarter turned and carved columnar pilasters, raised on panelled plinth base, with pendulum, key and twin weights.
