Description

A George III Oak and Mahogany Longcase Clock by Benjamin Peers of Chester, the hood with broken swan neck pediment bearing brass rosettes and and turned finials above a silvered dial set with Roman and Arabic numerals, subsidiary seconds and date aperture, signed Benj. Peers Chester, the brass plate set with spandrels and flanked by fluted columns, with eight-day movement, the trunk set with quarter turned fluted pilasters and raised on plinth base to bracket feet, with pendulum and two weights.
