Description

A late 19th century footman's tailcoat in a 18th century officers style. Scarlet melton, with a high black collar with gilt braid decoration. Black, breast front panels. each with 12 double gimp lines terminating with flat gilt buttons. Black cuffs with four gimp lines terminating with flat gilt buttons. Gilt, gimp edged, false button flaps. Shoulder straps with gilt braid and gimp edge decoration. White cotton lining.
