Description

A 17th-century oak wainscot armchair from Leeds, Yorkshire. The scroll-carved top rail sits above a lunette frieze and a lozenge-carved panel within a check inlaid border; scroll arms rest on baluster supports above the plain boarded seat. The chair measures 55 cm wide, 59 cm deep, and 109 cm high. Its condition is commensurate with its age.
